Private yoga

We thought Yoga would be a passive, soft discipline. Were we wrong. The moves flow one into the other with ease but they go deep within the body to develop strength and flexibility. As mature students–though healthy and fit–we wondered whether Jenny, so young, would be able to work with bodies having age limitations. Once we studied with her we knew we had an excellent Yoga teacher. She is very knowledgeable about the human body and Yoga. AND she observes you carefully to see that you move properly. ALSO she LISTENS! If something is causing distress, she immediately recommends an adjustment. She doesn’t push you to do what your body is not able to do, but yet finds ways to move you forward to develop your body fully from the stage you are at. We never thought that our mature bodies would be able to do the positions we are now doing under Jenny’s direction.

One on one Yoga Practice is an ancient tool and is the way Yoga has been taught for thousands of years. Every student can benefit from the attention and focus of a Private class.

If you are in the beginning stages of a yoga practice, private instruction can enhance and solidify the poses and techniques in a safe, personalized environment that will help you get the most out of group classes. Private Yoga can be your entire practice or can be used to enhance your current yoga practice.

Busy New Yorkers

For those of us who can’t seem to find a class time that works with our hectic schedules private yoga is a welcome change! Choosing a time that works for you and having a private class in your home will allow you to relax and get the most out of your practice.

Intermediate/Advanced Students

There comes a time when you want to go deeper into your practice and work on challenging sequences and poses. One on Ones can help you develop the next level of your practice that can be difficult to work on in a group class. Maybe you want to work on Handstand, arm balances, or going deeper with the Bandhas or moving meditation. We will develop and inspire the beautiful practice you already have.

Chair Yoga

One of my very favorite things to teach, Chair Yoga is designed for people that have limited mobility or flexibility. A chair is used to support the poses and allows the student to experience all the benefits of the Asana in a safe and relaxing way. Strengthen your muscles, deepen your breath and stretch with a Chair Yoga class designed specifically for your special needs and in your own home.
